Dedicated to leadership and wilderness education, the NOLS Podcast will feature interviews, stories, and Q & A's from experts around the NOLS world. The first episode is devoted to giving some insight into a career in outdoor education. We get this question all the time on our Facebook page, over the phone, or when we are at events throughout the country.

We have had a big week to start off the new year right. The NOLS Facebook page reached 9000 fans a few days ago. It has been proposed that we have a ustream.tv party once we reach 10,000, and planning has begun.

Six year NOLS partner YES Prep Public Schools (Youth Engaged in Service) was featured earlier this week in an article about inner-city charter school success. Founded in 1995, YES Prep Public School’s mission is to send every one of their graduates to college.

A blister is your body's way of telling you your boots don't fit, they aren't broken in, or your feet are too tender for the miles you are covering. The body is kind enough to warn you first with "hot spots," and it's a warning you would do well to heed.
